Trio Nobile is an ensemble of three experienced musicians from different corners of the world. Brazilian pianist Clelia Iruzun, British violinist Anthony Flint and American cellist Johann Sebastian Paetsch offer a diverse repertoire from the major European works to music of the Americas.

Clélia Iruzun - Piano

With her combination of colourful Brazilian spirit and musicianship, London-based pianist Clélia Iruzun is one of the most exciting musicians to emerge onto the international scene in recent years.

Clélia studied at the School of Music at Rio de Janeiro Federal University and at the Royal Academy of Music graduating with the Recital Diploma and several prizes. She also worked with prestigious pianists such as Nelson Freire, Jaques Klein, Stephen Kovacevich and Fou Ts’Ong and the distinguished Brazilian teacher Mercês de Silva Telles in Paris. Great Brazilian composers such as Francisco Mignone, Arnaldo Rebello and Marlos Nobre have dedicated works to her and more recently Beetholven Cunha and Alexandre Rachid.


Anthony Flint - Violin

Anthony Flint commenced his musical education in his native England but moved to Canada at an early age, continuing at the Royal Conservatory  of Music, Toronto where he studied violin with David Mankovitz and piano with Patricia Holt. He completed his musical education by graduating from Indiana University, Bloomington with the highest distinction after having studied with James Buswell, Larry Shapiro, Franco Gulli and Joseph Gingold.

Johann Sebastian Paetsch - Cello

Born in Colorado Springs USA in 1964 of musical parents, Johann Sebastian Paetsch began cello studies with his father Günther Paetsch at the age of 5, giving his first recital when only 6. His extensive experience in chamber music began in early childhood.

Johann Sebastian Paetsch studied at Butler University with Arkady Orlovsky where he received his Bachelor’s Degree ‘Cum Laude’ and at Yale University with Aldo Parisot, where he earned his Certificate of Music Degree and later his Master’s Degree in Music. He went on to study at the ‘Musikhochschule Lübeck’ with David Geringas where he received his ‘Konzertexamen’. He participated in masterclasses with Yo-Yo Ma, Rostropovitch, Starker, Greenhouse and Micha Maisky and as a member of the ‘Yale Cellists,’ he took part in the recording of two world- famous CD’s.
